HOW DO I ACCESS MOBILESERVE?

There are multiple ways:

HOW DO I SUBMIT THE HOURS I HAVE COMPLETED?

1. Scroll down the middle section of the page.
2. Click LOG HOURS.

1. Change the date to when the service event took place.
2. Put in the number of hours.
3. Type of name of the service organization / event name. For example, “Price Hill Clean-up” or “Bethany House.”
4. Pick a category. Purple Hours are for events benefiting Elder HS. White Hours to benefit others through a charitable organization (501c3), school, or church.
5. Respond to the prompt: “Tell us one thing you learned through your experience – more than just what you did.”
6. Click NEXT

MobileServe has multiple ways to verify your service hours. We would like you to use the EMAIL verification method by getting the email of an adult (non-family member) ONLY.

1. Check-in and Check-out using the app on your smartphone
2. Include the email address of a non-family member adult leading the service event when you submit your hours. Make sure that you type the address correctly!
3. Bonus: Take a photo of yourself doing service. You can take a photo through the app or add a photo file.
4. Click SUBMIT

Please be sure to accurately log the time you served.

WHY HAVE SOME SERVICE HOURS I’VE SUBMITTED NOT YET BEEN APPROVED?

Once you complete a service log and indicate the Supervisor’s email, MobileServe will send them an email asking them to verify your hours.  Once this completed, Mr. Forman will be notified and will provide final verification so the hours show up on your profile.

COMMON PROBLEMS

• Verification email not received – some supervisors don’t see the email since it goes to their junk folder. Solution: Contact the supervisor and let them know you are waiting verification. Another option would be for them to email formantt@elderhs.org directly to let Mr. Forman know they verify your participation.  He will then approve your hours once the email is received.
• Verification email is returned undeliverable – you entered an incorrect email for the supervisor.  Solution: Fix the email address!
• Service hours are rejected by the supervisor – you submitted an incorrect number of hours, requested hours for an activity that was required and not voluntary, or you didn’t actually do the service.  Solution: Read the supervisor’s reason for rejecting the hours and correct the problem.

HOW DO I SEE MY TOTAL SERVICE HOURS?

HOW DO I SUBMIT SERVICE HOURS FOR HOSTING A SHADOW?

Thanks for hosting a shadow at Elder!

To submit your hours,

1. Log into MobileServe on your computer.
2. Click on “Log Hours”
3.  Enter the date you hosted the shadow.
4. Enter Elder High School as the organization.
5. Choose “Purple Hours” since this is service to Elder.
6. Enter 5 hours of service
7. Tell Your Story – “I Hosted a Shadow Named…” (enter his name)
8. In the next block, tell us something you learned about your shadow.
9. Enter Mr. Pieper (pieperjm@elderhs.net) as the supervisor.

HOW DO I SUBMIT SERVICE HOURS FOR TUTORING ANOTHER STUDENT?

Submit your hours through MobileServe using a picture of you and the student being tutored. You can submit tutoring for service hours whether or not the student attends Elder High School. All tutoring will count as White Hours.
